Although we had been there only 4 days ago, we were drawn again today to Pirates Cove at Muckalee Creek. Here R. alabamense grew densely packed along the creek bank. In the meantime some of the recently seen plants were no longer in bloom, but others showed up in full splendor. All rhododendrons shown here are R. alabamense, so I do not include captions for them.
