Driving the Cherohala Skyway westward, coming from Hooper Bald, one soon reaches Tennessee and a place where there is the “Lake View Overlook”, from which one can look wonderfully into the landscape. Nearby and close to the road there are a few R. cumberlandense growing in the forest. Of course we had to look at them.
