Sawnee Mountain is a nearly 600m high elevation near Cumming in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Having already been to the east side of Sawnee Mountain on 29.4.2019 (see entry there), we wanted to explore the west side today. R. flammeum were few in bloom today, but the slightly earlier hybrids and R. canescens were in full glory. R. minus was still hibernating.
