Pine Log Mountain is situated north of Atlanta. We walked along Stamp Creek that is one of many streams in this forested area. Besides numerous spring flowers there were many R. canescens to be seen in full bloom. Always very close to the small stream there was also R. arborescens growing. However, this blooms much later in the year.
