Today we started our boat trip in the Escambia Delta in Mulat at Mulatto Bayou. There we first looked at a place with R. serrulatum and then crossed Escambia Bay to get into the Escambia Delta. There, with a few short trips into side arms, we went the whole White River upstream and the Escambia back again. In the delta many R. austrinum were already blooming, but the peak had not been reached yet. All Rhododendron shown here are R. austrinum. This is why I abstain from captions in these cases.
